Why You Can’t Turn Work Off
Three short episodes that explain why "just relax" has never worked for you
A free, private podcast for high-achieving professionals who know the pace isn't sustainable but can't seem to stop
You’re done for the day.
But your body isn’t.
Even when work is technically over, part of you stays on.
Thinking about what you didn’t finish…
What you should’ve done…
What might come up next.
You’ve tried boundaries.
You’ve tried time blocking.
You’ve tried “just relaxing.”
If this were a discipline problem, you would’ve solved it by now.

The reason you can't turn work off isn't what you think.
It's not because you're bad at rest. It's not because you need better habits.
It's because your nervous system learned that staying ON keeps you safe. Productive. Valuable.
Until your body learns otherwise, work will always follow you home.
The Truth
What Changes after Listening
You stop feeling like something is wrong with you.
You finally understand why insight, discipline, and good intentions haven't been enough. And that realization alone takes weight off.
You finish the series with a clearer picture of what's actually happening in your body when work won't let go, and what needs to shift for evenings to start feeling like yours again.
This isn't more motivation. It's not another system to implement.
It's clarity. Relief. A way back to you.

What this Podcast Will and Won't do
It won't remove stress from your life. Life is still gonna be lifing.
But it will help your body understand why it's stuck in ON mode, and point you toward a different way forward.
Most people finish the series feeling less alone and more clear. Not fixed. Just finally, accurately seen.
What you'll Hear
Why rest feels uncomfortable or guilt-inducing, even when you genuinely want to stop.
Why work has become tied to your sense of worth, even when part of you knows that's not the whole truth.
Why forcing boundaries doesn't work when your nervous system is already in survival mode.
What actually needs to shift for evenings to start feeling like yours again.
About Me
Hi, I'm Marie.
I built a successful legal career by doing everything right. I was capable, driven, and always available. And I still burned out completely.
Not because I lacked discipline. Because my nervous system had learned that slowing down wasn't safe. That my worth lived in my output. That stopping, even briefly, meant risking something.
I spent years figuring out what actually changes that wiring. This podcast is the beginning of what I wish I'd had before my body forced me to stop.
It's free because the first thing you need isn't a program. It's someone to explain what's actually happening to you.

From people who've done this work with Marie:
"I finally stopped feeling like everything in my life was an emergency. I'm calmer, clearer, and showing up better at work and at home."
C.J., Entrepreneur
"This work helped me reconnect with what actually matters. I'm still ambitious, but I'm no longer burning myself out to prove my worth."
M.D., Lawyer
